On occasion it may in fact be true that I try a bit too hard to see, do, and experience the world differently than others. On my most recent (family) adventure though, it became quickly apparent that on a trip to the Emerald Isle this would be an exercise in futility. Alas, I was forced to embrace the status quo and let my inner fanny-pack bask in all Ireland had to offer. No place lives up to the description you’ve heard quote so well. A few specifics that stand out.

Contrarians beware, Ireland lives up to its billing perfectly in just about every category drilled into my head before my visit. Best just to soak it all in. As they say “If you’re lucky enough to be Irish, then you’re lucky enough.”
